Important to know Vatican Museum Useful Information:
- To visit the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica is required appropriate dress code: are not allowed low cut or sleeveless clothing, shorts, miniskirts.
- AT THE MOMENT ACCESS TO SAINT PETER BASILICA IS NOT AVAILABLE. SOMETIMES BASILICA AND SISTINE CHAPEL MAY CLOSE WITHOUT NOTICE. WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE THE VISIT TO THE BASILIC DURING RELIGIOUS HOLIDAYS AND CEREMONIES (Audiences, Beatifications, Masses of the POPE), in this cases no refund is possible.
- For all the tour there is skip-the-line access. Note that everyone has to pass the security check. On some busy days, there could be a line to pass the metal detector, but this is out of our control.
- Security checks: are not allowed Medium and large umbrellas/telescopic umbrellas, sticks, tripods and stands for cameras, video cameras, metal tools of various types all must be left in the cloakroom. The cloakroom is free of charge.
- In the Sistine Chapel the use of mobile phones, flash photography is strictly forbidden.
- It is forbidden to consume food and drink inside the exhibition halls or to bring alcoholic and super alcoholic beverages.
